All you big Land Rover fans out there in the greater Houston area have probably heard about the Range Rover Autobiography. For those who are not acquainted with this particular model, the Autobiography Edition is the highest possible trim level for the Range Rover. This $170,000 SUV made news recently as a team from England decided to embark on the road trip of a lifetime. Their mission was to drive from Land Rover HQ in England to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco while towing a top of the line Airstream trailer.
This convoy was essentially a Rolling Ritz as it traveled over 4,000 miles through France and Spain. Ben Samuelson, one of the road trippers commented, "It didn't matter what we or the weather threw at it -- it just did the job we asked of it without question, while truly cosseting us with its extraordinary luxury and refinement.1
Some of that luxury and refinement come from amenities like a center console that runs the length of the cabin, a drink chiller, Kalahari real wool inserts, teak decking and two fold-out iPads. It took the adventurers 11 days to complete their trip, but in a moving hotel like that one, The could have easily lasted a month.
Getting your hands on an Autobiography Edition is not that easy in the U.S. but if you would like to see what new and used Land Rover options are available to you locally, come check out the Land Rover Houston Central showroom. We are located at 7019 Old Katy Road Houston, TX. Our expert staff is always willing to answer any questions you may have.
