The future is upon us with Land Rover's space-age Discovery Vision Concept. As revealed during the New York Auto Show, the Discovery Vision Concept is loaded with futuristic features that can't be found in vehicle on the market today.

For starters, the concept doesn't have door handles as it uses gesture recognition from the driver to open doors, use the turn signals and to illuminate its lights. Also, Discovery Vision is outfitted with a transparent hood that offers drastically improved visibility. But, our favorite feature has to be the remote control driving. Yes, drivers can now operate the vehicle from outside the SUV with a smartphone or tablet. We're not in Kansas anymore:

We've also learned the Discovery Vision Concept is expected to be production ready by 2016. Until then, please visit Land Rover Houston Central at our Houston, TX dealership to test drive a new Land Rover model.
